FAQ (frequently asked questions)

1. How often will new courses be offered?
We offer 2-4 new course options every two months. Registration for these new courses will open one month before the start date.

2. Who is best suited for this program?
Our program is designed to foster connections between teens with autism in a fun and supportive environment. The ideal students are those who can thrive in a 1:4 staff-to-student ratio.

3. Can I send my child with their support worker?
While we do not allow external support workers to attend, rest assured that our in-house staff is highly trained and experienced. They will provide excellent care and support for your child throughout the program.

4. Can I get a refund if my child misses a class?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for missed classes. Payments are made upfront to cover costs such as supplies and rental space, which are paid in full at the beginning of the program.

5. Can I use autism funding?
Yes, you can use autism funding for our programs. Please contact us for more details on how to apply.

6. Who runs the classes?
Each class is led by two qualified, current education assistants. These same assistants will be with the group throughout the entire course. They are employed by the Surrey School District, have over 10 years of experience working with autism, and have completed criminal record checks.

7. What age students is the program for?
Right now our program is designed for teenagers who are currently high school age (12-18)

8. Do you do any behaviour programs during your classes?
We just focus on friendship skills and recreation activities. We do not do any behaviour modification programs during our classes.
